151st Army Band Concert at the Amphitheater Monday, June 18th
The 151st Army Band, located in Montgomery, Alabama, will be performing a FREE Concert Monday, June 18th from 6-8pm at the newly constructed Amphitheater located at the Vince J. Whibbs, Sr. Community Maritime Park. Bring your family and friends out for some great live music and entertainment! Dont forget to bring your blankets too!
The musical groups of the 151st Army Band consist of a Concert Band, Ceremonial Band, Jazz Band, Combo, Show Band, Woodwind Quintet, Brass Quintet, and other combinations required to accomplish the musical mission. The band performs throughout the United States for military and civilian functions. They have traveled to Costa Rica and Columbia, South America performing on United States Embassy Goodwill tours. The band consists of “Citizen Soldiers” from across Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, and Georgia. The 151st Army Band was officially charted in 1968 as a unit of the Alabama Army National Guard. The 151st succeeded the famed 31st (Dixie) Infantry Division Band and the 167th Infantry Division Band, which date from 1918.
